Puyana is a photographer I discovered on instagram, his photographic work is interesting to me through the way he use light. He captures the overall detail and beauty of a piece whilst still highlighting the light and dark contrasts. he work is said to be described as 'luminous and dramatic', this is definitely something I am able to see as audience to his pieces. in my opinion, Puyana's overall practice creates conversation between the colours of nature and in many comment in darker contrast to human condition of spaces.
I feel the sunset photographs he captures show the best use of variating lighting that I would like to transfer ideas of into the installation of my works. Using the lighting as a tool for the appearance of the pieces that create a different view for the audience than a more 'traditional' gallery display.
